About KPSC
The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is one of the most important constitutional bodies in the state of Karnataka, entrusted with the responsibility of recruiting qualified and deserving candidates for a wide range of government positions. Established on 18 May 1951 under the provisions of the Constitution of India, KPSC has consistently upheld the principles of transparency, fairness, and merit-based selection in public service recruitment over the past seven decades.
As a premier recruitment authority, KPSC conducts rigorous examinations and structured selection processes for Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D posts spanning numerous government departments. These departments cover vital sectors such as administration, agriculture, health, education, engineering, revenue, and law enforcement. By ensuring that only the most capable individuals are appointed to these roles, KPSC plays a direct role in the development and effective governance of Karnataka.
KPSC is regarded as one of the most prestigious recruitment bodies in the state, and a job secured through its process is considered a mark of excellence and dedication. The commission is committed to equal opportunity, and candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the necessary qualifications. With the Karnataka Cabinet recently approving a massive recruitment drive of over 56,000 vacancies, this is one of the most significant employment opportunities in the state’s history.

The salary structure for KPSC posts varies based on the position and department. Dearness Allowance (DA) is revised periodically to offset inflation, while House Rent Allowance (HRA) supports employees with accommodation costs. Medical benefits cover hospitalisation and treatment for employees and their dependents. The government pension scheme ensures financial security after retirement. Together, these benefits make KPSC positions among the most financially attractive and stable career options available in Karnataka.
