Educational Qualification: A B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering degree (4-year course) from a recognised institution is mandatory for all engineering posts. For Research Staff (CRL), a PhD degree in Aerospace, AI, Communication, Cyber Security, Robotics, Autonomous Systems, or Quantum Technology is required.

Experience: For Senior Engineer (E-III) posts, candidates need relevant post-qualification industrial work experience. For Deputy Engineer and Project Engineer posts, fresh graduates or those with 0–2 years of experience are eligible. For Research Staff, a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification industrial experience is required (teaching and academic experience will not be counted).

Age Limit: For Deputy Engineer contract posts, the maximum age is 28 years as on the application date. For Senior Engineer and other posts, specific age criteria are mentioned in the respective notification PDFs. Relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per Government of India norms.

The BEL selection process is merit-based, transparent, and multi-stage:

• Shortlisting — Candidates shortlisted in the ratio of 1:7 per vacancy based on written test scores
• Personal Interview — Evaluation of technical knowledge, communication, and personality
